I use a really soft brush to clean computer parts, the ones used for painting grills/windows.

Vacuum cleaner might work if you are careful by not using it on fans. Disassemble everything.

The way of cleaning the entire desktop PC & cabinet in one go is to use an air blower. However they are expensive at least 600 – 1200 Rs.

Other than that if you have disassembled the PC and have discrete components with you, then if they are too dusty, first use a soft paintbrush and carefully and gently apply in one direction to wipe off excess dust. Avoid back n fourth motion and fast motions as it may detach some components like jumpers etc.

Then use IPA (Iso Proply Alcohol ideally 99.9% pure) preferably in a spray bottle to spray it directly on electronic parts to let rest of the minute dust dissolve and evaporate. Wait for 1 – 2 minutes to let it dry completely and then put it back in respective slots or in the cabinet.

IPA cleaner is expensive online (and for known brands like Electosan) but similar alternative IPA cleaner product should be available in local electronics market for about 50 – 60 Rs a bottle of 400ML. I am using one and I found it fine without any issues so far.

Cheap alternative is a manual hand blower but it’s practically useless!!

Vacuum cleaner (> 600 Watts) may not be an ideal option because it has high suction power and may suck in jumpers and such components from the board.

Compressed air cans are generally expensive.

Note - All external links to online shopping sites given above are only for reference purposes and are indicative examples. I have no idea about the quality of the products available at the links.

If your home vacuum cleaner is equipped with an air blower on the rear end, you may use that component.

nice knowing vacuum cleaner and air blower ( powered ) can be used to clean pc components .. never tried because heeard they form some sort of static electricity which may damage components.

Well in theory, vacuum cleaner can damage with static electricity. Occurences of it actually damaging are rare, doesn't mean we should take the risk

I have this exact blower:

And it does a great job to blow out dust from nooks an crannies from inside the cabinet, motherboard and PSU.

I cleaned my and my friends PC with it since at least 3 years.
Though I should probably clear that I bought it from a retail shop and not online.
What kind of retail shop,I have never seen products like these in usual retail shops in my area.

Well, in my area there is a computer market. We get various computer parts, laptop repair shops, printer repairs shops.
If you are curious, it's near Nirmaan vihar metro station in Delhi.
But don't go out until curfew ends. :p
