Intel is "traditionally considered as better for adobe products" & it was indeed true in the past but negligible difference nowadays. Anyway even that is fine but do note that 9th gen intel processors run hot & 'k' version processor you don't even come with cpu cooler). Save some money & suggest her to get non-k version of 9700. Also I don't understand how the total system cost is coming 87k when i7 9700(that too non-k as k version costs ~2k more) costs ~31k & a good Z390 mobo costs ~17k plus add a good cpu cooler for ~5k.

Yes, even I'm surprised to see the final cost considering so high price of the CPU itself. I also suggested her that 'K' series CPU is not required.
Anyway, I'll find it out how it costed 87K.

It sure runs hot. Another thing I noticed here that R5 2600 is matching closely i7 9700K in performance with less power consumption.
R5 3600 should do better probably!
Yes,R5 3600 is ~17% faster than 2600 & don't forget that Indian climate is much hotter(except for some areas) compared to US/EU testing rooms.

Applies to most things in India incl politics.
That's true!

After talking to her over phone I came to know that few more parts have been changed from the suggested config:

1. CPU i7 9700K Rs. 33,000
2. CPU Fan Intel Rs. 02,500
3. GPU 1050Ti Rs. 10,000
4. M/B Gigabyte Z390M Rs. 11,500
5. RAM Corsair (8GB x 2) Rs. 06,500
6. Monitor Dell 20" Rs. 05,000
7. UPS Rs. 01,500

Looks like lots of stuff is changed from the planned config, and they have placed the order from a local vendor; the total cost is around Rs. 87,000.

I don't have the full config provided by the vendor, and still not sure how come all these come for 87,000?
Anyway, now it's finalized by them; nothing much can be done. Now only hope I have that it's not compromised too much.

Thanks a lot friends for your valuable inputs and suggestions!
I really appreciate that helping nature from @whitestar_999 !!

I will be frank, please don't mind.Your cousin's selection is probably the worst combination considering the budget & value for money aspects. I don't expect even smooth running let alone performance running from this config,a classic case of wasting money by listening to "friends/shopkeepers" instead of spending some effort to do a little research. See for yourself, the mobo selected is of lowest tier which I wouldn't get it even for free to run i7 9700k.

That Rs.2500 cpu fan won't even be able to run processor without reaching 100C in 10-15 min of doing some serious 2d/3d rendering with processor usage ~70-80% & this is with no overclocking. She will almost certainly experience thermal throttling because of high temps resulting in not getting the 9700k full performance despite paying full price for it.
That 1050Ti also is a poor choice when 1650 is available for similar/a little higher price & with almost 28% better overall performance.
That 8gb*2 ram will also prove to be inadequate sooner or later.
The monitor is poor quality too.

Dear @whitestar_999 , I can understand your frustration; I'm also in the same boat. We tried our best to build the best possible config, but somehow they messed up the things.

Right now, the main culprit in the new system are CPU and Motherboard, other thinks like GPU, RAM, monitor can be upgraded later, of course at more cost. I've already suggested them to not go for 'K' processor; maybe we can suggest a better motherboard for i7 9700 and let them make the final call if it's not already built. This change will fix the basics to some extent; leave other parts for future upgrade.

The thing is that they recently moved to Pune and asked me for a computer vendor, I offered them to provide the config and few vendors to get the parts and get it assembled. I also offered them to buy online, but I cannot push them too aggressively.

Thanks again!

At least try to get mobo changed to this Buy Online Gigabyte Z390 AORUS ELITE Intel Z390 Chipset Motherboard - in India & i7 9700 instead of 9700k.

Sorry for the late reply. Return these overpriced parts except for the ram maybe (only if it is 3000 Mhz or higher).

Edit: You should've got either 4 sticks of 8 GB each or just 2 of 16GB in this budget. You have a right to get best config and not what the shopkeeper forces you to buy. Demand a full refund if he disagrees. A monitor worth 5k is a bad option for color accurate animation work. It would have a 768p TN panel which I won't suggest even for normal home usage.

Hey, why sorry my friend; it's alright. Actually I've suggested this to one relative who is undergoing Adobe training and needs a new PC quickly. We provided the best possible config as suggested by @whitestar_999 in the budget, but people in her institute including their staff members insisted only on Intel processor which eventually skewed the whole budget towards CPU and compromised other parts.

Initially they selected i7 9700K and a cheap Z390M motherboard; now I've asked them to change the CPU to non 'K' version and get a better motherboard as suggested by @whitestar_999 . I don't think changing all the parts will be possible because this will increase the budget significantly, unless they leave that CPU and move to AMD CPU.

Thanks!

You didn't mention which ssd, PSU and cabinet are present and for all we know, the shopkeeper gave them crap ones which won't work in the long term.

The config suggested by @whitestar_999 (New PC for 2D/3D Animation Work under 75K) and in your post (New PC for 2D/3D Animation Work under 75K) are pretty good. They fit easily in your budget too.

There's still time to return it all and buy good parts.

They are saying other parts are kept same as suggested by us, though I've not seen the config myself.

Nothing can be done,I am well familiar with this institutes' preferring intel policy & their influence on students not having the info to judge it.

Quite true. Initially they were ready to go for our suggested config, but after discussing it in her institute everything got changed.
