Desktop Boot Issues

Hi all,

My desktop is not booting up. It gets stuck on starting windows.
My hard drive is making some noises and when I changed the sata cable a different sound came but the machine did not boot.

The original sata cable is in sata 1 port and the other sata cable is in sata 2 port on the mobo.

If this sound is indeed coming from hdd then your hdd is most probably gone.

Will data recovery company still be able to recover data from it or it is totally unusable?

Depends on the hdd damage & how much money you can afford.

Someone told me that for a 500 GB HDD, data recovery charges are between 15K to 25 K. Not sure though.
