New PC with some old components

Dear all,

My Mobo just died yesterday making my AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition processor orphan , i want to discard this and build new with some old components.
1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: DTP work.
Designing software like Adobe CS6, MS Office 16. Watching movies.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: ₹15 to 18 k max

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 10 pro

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: N/A have brand new 2 tb Seagate barracuda + Old 500 gb wd

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: No, i have 21" 1080p Viewsonic monitor

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: I have Keyboard n Mouse, 2tb brand new Seagate barracuda HD n old 500gb WD HD, Monitor, Two 2gb DDR 3 Corsair xms3 Ram's, Cooler master cabinet.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Next month

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Yes, this one is going to be my second.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Belagavi, Karnataka, yes and if required I'll get it from online.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Onboard graphics, Onboard Wifi to connect my mobile phone.

Gigabyte is a PCIe x 2 and not an X 4 and it's not an SATA.
Edurance rating is low on the Silicon Power NVME.

Silicon Power one has double the read write speed but at bit lower endurance (125 TBW, 25 TBW/year) and Gigabyte one has better speed and double endurance (300 TBW, 60TBW/year).
Unless OP is using it as a scratch drive for video editing, he will not cross even 5TBW/year. My current boot ssd has ~1TBW in ~110 days, game drive 660p is at ~940GBW.
PS: His budget was 15-18k. Not sure how he would be able to sell his old components for ~10k.

Is this cpu noisy? My previous AMD CPU was very noisy and sometimes it was unbearable.

Do i need extra fan to cool the CPU or the one comes with package is ok?

Some have more than 3 years warranty(psu 5 years,ram 10 years).

Older days are no more,AMD finally caught up with intel with the release of their ryzen processors in 2017 & currently ryzen 3xxx series processors are better than intel processors overall.Just change the mobo in above suggested config to Buy Gigabyte B450M Gaming at Lowest Price in India - mdcomputers.in (2 ram slots) OR Buy Gigabyte B450M DS3H at Lowest Price in India - mdcomputers.in (4 ram slots)

Dear All,
My MoBo Asus Prime B450M-A started giving trouble since last one month.
Before bios
USB Device Over Current Status Detected !! NO Keyboard Detected!
System Will Shut Down After 15 Seconds.
This message started appearing, I gave it for repairs, after 2 days use same problem started.
Just 4 days back i brought the PC and started using with only 2 rear USB ports working as suggested by the technician.
Two hours ago same thing happened and I am stuck with the problem.
Can you suggest me a latest version MoBo for AMD Ryzen 3 3200g processor.

Please note: the above mentioned MoBo stopped getting future updates for Windows 11 since 2024 saying MoBo doesn't supports latest updates!

Assuming you've ruled out other components.
500 series doesn't officially support your CPU, but many boards are compatible. If you're going for 500 series board, confirm with seller before buying. If you wanna stick with B450, then DS3H from Gigabyte or PRO VDH from MSI.

You know your CPU is not officially support Win 11. I guess you installed that with some work around, so updates too would need some work around I assume. I don't know which software ditches older version this quick, you sure about that? Even Win 10 supports is still on.
