AMD gaming PC, 80k

Hi all. It's time to bite the bullet and buy a new system. Sure I could wait for 12nm Polaris, or for RAM prices to go down, or I could start gaming a couple of months early :) .

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Everyday use - mostly just Firefox and VLC. Occasional gaming would be the most intense workload, so that's what I'll aim for.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 80k. Can extend to 100k, only if it makes sense.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Yes.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Win 7 or 10.

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 2 TB.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Have purchased a 1080p freesync monitor, so not needed in the budget.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Don't need monitor, mouse, keyboard or UPS.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Within the next 3 weeks.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Built one before. Planning to do it myself.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Hyderabad. Would prefer local or amazon. Not sure if I want to trust MDcomputers/primeABGB/Vedant.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: It is awfully warm today.

This is the preliminary config I have decided:
ComponentModelPrice
CPURyzen 260016
MoboMSI B450M Mortar10
GPU??????
RAM8*2 3000+14
SSD860 EVO 2505
HDD2 TB5
PSUTX5507
CaseSpec 04 Tempered5
Speakers???3
Total……..65

GPU
For GPU I would like an RX 580, if I can find a good deal on it. Otherwise, I'll take an RX 570 or 560, and wait for Navi. Asus ROG strix, and Gigabyte Aorus XTR seem to be the best rated models, with MSI Gaming X, and Sapphire Nitro+ being good too. How are they in ASS?

HDD
Either the WD 2TB greenblue or the Seagate ST2000DM006. Which one has better ASS?

PSU
TX550 would be ideal if I can find one. I suppose the TX650, RM550x, EAG 550, and the CXM and CSM series are all worth considering, depending on availability.

Case
I need suggestions here. I like - plain front, tempered glass side panel, no PSU shroud. What are some good cases with either/all of these(4-6k)?

Speakers
I wanted Logitech Z333/337, but they are out of stock. Please suggest 2.1 models within 3-4k.

What do you guys think? Comments are welcome.

TL;DR
ASS - Seagate or WD?
ASS - Asus/MSI/Gigabyte/Sapphire - arrange in order.
Good 2.1 ch speakers for 3-4k?
Cases for 4-6k - which ones do YOU like?

Man, that is one sweet case!

Do you know which GPU companies have good after-sales? Is it safe to buy online?

Regarding speakers, I know those are really great, but if I buy them then my next upgrade would have to be the 17k Z906 to make sense. Ain't no body got the money for that! Cheaper 2.1's will let me try cheap 5.1 next, so I can make up my mind if they're worth it. Right now I only need 2.1 ch 20-30W of output.

Zotac(5 yrs) but they don't manufacture GPU with AMD chip.Yes its safe for online purchase.
A cheap 5.1 from logitech will cost you 5k also you have to deal with those wires and since you already are ready to spend 4k its wise to spend 3k more and get a good speaker or skip speaker for now and get yourself a headphone

It's one thing to have an extended warranty policy, but you have to honour it. I am concerned more about the service rather than the length of warranty. Asus and gigabyte offer good service from what I have heard. What about MSI/Sapphire? I would appreciate if someone could share their opinions on this.

Those speakers are double of what I want to spend. I just need some basic 2.1ch speakers. I am considering Logitech Z313 and Creative T3130 for now. Z333 is still my preference if I can find them locally.

@SaiyanGoku @bssunilreddy Could you please suggest good shops in Hyderabad.

Thanks!

I couldn't find Logitech Z313/Z333/Z337 or Creative T3130 locally. Z313 and T3130 are available on amazon but look overpriced. I am considering buying Logitech Z506 5.1 speakers. Does anyone know if I can just stash the center and rear speakers away and use them as 2.1 speakers?

(I can't beleive I am purchasing a 90k system but it's the speakers that have me most confused...)

Antec EARTHWATTS GOLD PRO 550W-5,600
Have you checked this thread:
mdcomputers selling wrong antec earthwatts gold pro?
It is best to avoid earthwatts gold pro series for now, latest CX450/550/650/750 are back in stock as well as some TXM series models.

Either the WD 2TB greenblue or the Seagate ST2000DM006. Which one has better ASS?
WD blue does not come in 7200rpm above 1TB.WD after sales support is considered better than Seagate but I say pick the brand you have had more luck with in the past.

Don't spend on 5.1 speakers if you are not going to use all of them.Just get some ~2-3k good rated F&D 2.1 speakers from amazon in currently ongoing sale.

I will post some pics after I acquire a table to put my pc on.

Here is the final config:

ComponentPricePurchased from
R5 2600 + MSI B450M Mortar28200Local
2*8 Gig Corsair Vengeance 3000 MHz CL1610900Local
Sapphire RX 570 4G Pulse18500Local
860 Evo 2504750Amazon
Seagate 2TB4750Local
RM 750X9950Local
Spec 04 Tempered4800Local
Creative T31301950Local
LG 2MP68VQ8100Amazon
Total84k + Monitor-

I was considering the EAG 500 Pro, but decided against it after reading that thread. RM 750, while extremely overkill, was the only RM model available locally.

^^What a n00b. 500 watt would have been enough for OP. Also, should have waited for 12nm Polaris.

Overspend on PSU,you should have got a Sapphire RX580 for 21k instead of Sapphire RX570 also should have got this CORSAIR SPEC-ALPHA (ATX) Mid Tower Cabinet - With Transparent Side Panel (Black/Silver)

Getting Ryzen 5 1600 saved you almost 5k anyways what's done is done but congrats on you purchase

I was just doing a 'inb4' before someone tells me I overspent on PSU :p

NB - The only online marketplace I am comfortable with is amazon, hence my buying choices. I know the 2600 is almost the same as the 1600 for productivity, and only like 5% faster in games, but I intend to use RPCS3, which is a bit more memory sensitive.

It is a personal choice but still you need to take some initiative.Afterall nothing in this world is truly risk free.mdcomputers,vedant,primeabgb/onlyssd,theitdepot all have good reputation but there will always be some bad cases(just like it is with amazon/fk). I have ordered a few times from these sites before & received the product in good condition. Even if you are cautious I say there is nothing till 15k price product that you need to think about before ordering from these sites.

I haven't gamed much on it, or even tested the freesync yet

Otherwise, I find the colours and viewing angles to be excellent. There is some IPS glow, which is to be expected, but there is no backlight bleed on my piece. Overall, I would say I am satisfied with my purchase, but I did get it for 7,300.
