Windows 10 PC very slow

I am using a Windows 10 Dell Inspiron 5558 Laptop with Core i5 processor, 4 GB RAM, 2 GB nVIDIA Graphics. I purchased it on January 2016 & from day 1 the thing is damn slow. I regret purchasing it for Rs. 60000/- which was enough for an entry level Apple MacBook. I thought I would purchase a high end Windows laptop that will do the job but instead I feel stolen. The thing takes a hell lot of time for rebooting so I usually make it sleep. When its not responding, Disk usage show 100% always.
Thanks

That laptop isn't high-end by any means. ULV dual core proccy and 4 GB ram are common in ~30-40k budget laptops. And even some of those come with a 930m compared to your laptop's 920m.

Instead of shutting it down or putting it to sleep, use hibernation.

Post screenshot of start-up tabs of ccleaner, the details tab of windows task manager after start-up and the installed programs under control panel.

Its also a touch screen laptop & has core i5 instead of i3. So its not a budget laptop by any means.
How can we activate hibernation ? can't find it in shut down options.

Even dual core ULV i7 means its a budget laptop. High-end ones have a quad core hyperthreaded proccy denoted by HQ instead of U in the cpu's model and has a proper GPU with DDR5 VRAM.

Ignore the touchscreen for anything higher than a 12" laptop. Sacrificing a 1080p screen for that isn't justified.

Do as SaiyanGoku said and post the screenshots. So we can see what is the issue from software side. Another thing you can do from Hardware side is to upgrade to an SSD. Massive difference guaranteed.

Thats why its always recommended to post for requirements in Tech Forums before buying anything.

Anyways, post the task manager processes screenshot and also check what applications are running during startup (you can remove most of them using CCleaner)
also, which Antivirus are you using ?

Disable these from startup:
Apple IE DAV
CCleaner Monitoring
iCloud Drive, Photos, Services
One Drive
AdobeARMUpdater
Bing Desktop

Uninstall these bloat:
Acrobat Pro (2.35 GB for a PDF Reader? Use Sumatra PDF or Google Chrome's inbuilt viewer)
Aiseesoft Total Video Converter (use handbrake or xmedia recode instead)
Bing Desktop
Bonjour
Dell Customer Connect
Dell Digital Delivery
Dell Foundation Service
Dell Help & Support
Dell Product Registration
Dell SupportAssist
Dell SupportAssistAgent
Dell System Detect
Mozilla Maintenance Service

Go to control panel -> Services and disable these as well:
Adobe Acrobat Update Service
Dell Data Vault Service
Windows Search
Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service
BTW, I asked for ss of DETAILS tab and you sent many of PROCESSES tab

At least sort it disk usage-wise.

I am confused on one thing that the laptop has nvidia graphics card so it would need only nvidia graphics adapter drivers but it automatically installs intel hd graphics drivers even if i uninstall it from the programs menu.

The CPU has an integrated GPU, so installation of intel HD graphics drivers is normal.

And it can't edit pdf.

First of all, yes you are looted. The guys at Dell store must have high-five'ed when you turned your back to them with this new flashy touch-screen laptop in your hand and a big smile on your face :D

Jokes aside, still the laptop should not slow down at the rate you've mentioned, if judged hardware wise. It's the software's which is causing the problem. Try performing what SaiyanGoku has advised. Also, 2 points from my side:

1) To save additional RAM space, remove entire nVIDIA drivers and then perform fresh installation, selecting only the base driver. Do not install any of the additional items i.e. Geforce Experience, VR drivers, stream etc. etc. whatever options you see there. All those are crap for your system.

2) there are so many svchost.exe processes running, consuming considerable amount of system RAM, which looks fishy to me. It can be viruses or other malicious programs running in background. Also, I didn't see any antivirus program installed on the system . Anyways, there is nothing much you can do. Try SaiyanGoku steps first and see if svchost.exe instances decreases or not. Then give antivirus scan a try if system still runs slow.

3) In the end if nothing helps, resetting windows would be the only option.
