My 4 year old laptop seems to be showing its age and i am on the look out for a new machine that can do the job for me.
I have recently come across the XIAOMI MI NOTEBOOK AIR 13.3. Specifications as below ( Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3″ Silver | xiaomi-mi.co)
Processor : Intel i5 @ 2.7 Ghz
GPU : Nvidia GeForce 940MX - 1 GB DDR5
RAM : 8 GB
On board storage : 256 GB-SSD
Display : 13.3 inch FHD IPS display with 166 PPI
OS : Windows 10 SL- Mandarin.
This product is not officially available in India as on date.
Overall this seems to be a great notebook for its asking price as below.
DX.COM - INR 66225/- all inclusive (Xiaomi Air Windows 10 13.3 " Laptop w/ 8GB RAM, 256GB ROM - Silver - Free Shipping - DealExtrem)
However i would like to know the following before i buy.
1. If anyone has used/ bought the same, please post a review of the same.
2. How safe is it to buy from Chinese websites like DX.com and Trading Shenzhen ? Pref.erably i would like reviews for DX.COM
3. Will i have to pay customs duties while importing?
4. Will Indian version of WIN 10 (licensed) run without glitches on the ultrabook ?
5. How is this laptop as compared to the Lenovo AIR 13 (also exclusive in China)
