Laptop extremely slow and often lags in loading

I recently bought a new laptop with the following specs:
Model: Lenovo Ideapad 500 - 15ISK; Processor: Intel Core i7-6500U Processor(Core i7-6500U); Memory: 8GB DDR3L 1600; Hard Drive: 1TB 5400; Optical Drive: Slim DVD Record; Monitor: 15.6 1920x1080; Graphics - 4GB AMD Radeon
Now i have tried installing many new games (GTA V, CoD etc.) the problem i run into is that all these games drag considerably (i.e. loads and runs extremely slow and often hangs)
I wanted to diagnose my pc t understand what could be causing this issue. My hunch is that the HDD is the concern but i am not sure. Any advise on how i can locate the issue would be helpful? Also in case the issue is the HDD, will it be solved in case i get a SSD in place?

The problem lies with the gpu, which frankly, is crap.

AMD Radeon R7 M360 - NotebookCheck.net Tec

Your best option is to return it since you just bought it and buy a laptop with nvidia 950m or higher graphics card.

Bhaiya which store in India allows us to return the laptop?

Most e-stores allow return.

Don't know about local stores.

Anybody who wants to play games on their laptop should avoid buying laptops with AMD gpus or anything under 950m.

No return is there nowadays, just exchange that too only if the item is damaged/doa. Regarding gaming will 940m do the job?

IMO, getting anything under 960m won't do good unless you are playing old games at 720p mid-high settings.

See gaming benchmarks and then decide:

NVIDIA GeForce 940M - NotebookCheck.net Tec

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M - NotebookCheck.net Tec

Return Policy - Flipkart.com

Surprisingly amazon doesn't allows for return now!

will an ssd compensate for the GPU's low quality?

Also does warranty get void if HD is changed?

Not even the fastest ssd in the world can fix that GPU. If it was possible, people with 3-4 year old GPU's won't be upgrading their systems.

How much did this laptop cost you?
