Redmi Note 3 16GB Confusion/ One plus X

hi guys,

I was All set to buy redmi note 3 32Gb version, but amazon had another plans , it is not selling 32Gb version now, don't know when it will be back in stock.
Right now, Amazon is giving 1000rs cashback. So 16Gb version will cost 9000rs. Is it worth buying if storage is not much of a concern?
2Gb ram is enough combined with the processor and gpu it has?
How much is the fingerprint feature effective in real life usage?

How is it compared to one plus x @14k? which one has better processor and will give better performance?

If physical size isn't an issue, get Redmi Note 3

OPX also has hybrid slot

RN3 is better in terms of performance & fingerprint sensor is handy, not a dealbreaker I would say

Size not much of an issue, main thing which is confusing me is the RAM. how much not getting 3Gb will affect me

Not getting 3gb should not affect as much as the battery-life that will affect you if you get Oneplus X instead.

Though getting 3gb version is still always preferable.

Oh.okay then going for 2Gb version, it will cost 9k and 3gb version will cost 12k (since it will not be available during the sale which is going on).
Already have waited too much for 3gb to come back in stock, even amazon guys don't know when it will be back in stock.

OPX is very good in every aspect except the small sized battery. Don't expect more than a day out of it.
I didn't buy RN3 because I wanted the amoled display, and dev support.

I usually have to charge mine for twice(sometimes thrice) a day. And my phone is on the charger most of the time.
Maybe I have many unused apps installed that are draining battery. But even then I'm unsatisfied by OpX's battery life.

I may get something else in near-future if it continues bugging me.

What ROM and Kernel are you using?
This phone can be tweaked heavily and they do help in saving the battery.
I don't know how heavily you are using your device but for me with few short calls a day, lots of whatsapp on 3g and browsing web pages and listening to few hrs of music on a day for single charge.
But then I am using custom rom + kernel + xposed + macros + dark themes + lots of additional tweaking .

Using Smartmax CPU governor and Zen I/O scheduler will save you lots of battery.

This phone has plenty of Ram and huge battery you don't need any extra software to save battery.

Well I would call my usage to be very normal (or low). Some whatsapp chat on 3G & wifi, browsing, few calls, 15 mins of casual gaming(clash royale).

The only tweak I have done I guess is changed the wallpaper :silly_NF:
But I lots of apps 200+.

Do I really need to do all this (i.e, custom rom + kernel + xposed + macros + dark themes + lots of additional tweaking) to improve battery life? Pheww :sick_NF:

Well when i rooted my phone for first time i panicked but now i can flash roms, kernel etc.If you are satisfied with battery backup then don't do these things.
just uninstall unused,battery hogging apps.
And greenify whatapps,facebook,etc.
