3. Dual sim? Not Compulsory
4. Preferred choice of brand? Anything except Micromax, Gionee
5. What camera option you want (flash, front facing camera)? Decent back and front camera would do. Don't click a lot of pictures
6. Preferred operating system? (Android, iOS, Windows Phone, etc). Android
7. Preferred connectivity options (3G, 4G ready). 4G ready
8. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, internet, gaming etc)? Social Networking, Music and Light gaming
9. Any specific mobile phones in consideration? Lenovo Vibe P1 has really caught my eye. Fingerprint sensor and fast charging at that price is superb.
10. Any other info that you want to share- I would like a phone that has potential for custom roms so no Mediatek chipset. No dev support and vibe UI is the only reason I am hesitating from Lenovo.

I have a Samsung s3 (hd) and s4 s5 (full hd) . There may not be a noticeable difference to the general user between hd and full HD screens , believe me , if you can spend the extra cash , go for the full hd screen as it is better in reading text and for watching movies (full hd) and YouTube too has the full HD option .

X Play 16GB costs 17.5k & you mentioned a max budget of 17k.... During Christmax time there might be card offers, like 10% off, you can get it at that time if you like X Play

It has a great screen(not just because of higher ppi), camera & battery life. Just don't expect to play heavy games smoothly(few frame drops sometimes)

Why not Lenovo Vibe P1 ? Has Fingerprint reader with NFC, BIG battery and looks great too. Make sure to compare each and every features of phones to get peace of mind.

I realy like the Vibe P1 but no dev support is really a deal breaker. Flipkart's Big App Shopping days are starting tonight. If I get a discount on the Moto X Play I will go for it. Otherwise the Zenfone Laser.

Performance is good. I don't game on mobile so can't comment about that but otherwise experience has been totally lag free. Screen, camera and audio quality is exceptional. Battery life is amazing, I get around 6 Hours of SOT with WiFi on all the time.

One Plus X has hybrid sim slot! I am preferring dual sim with memory card!

So, can you tell any other good model till 20K with 2 sim slots and a memory card slot?

I liked Vibe X3 but that too has a hybrid slot..
