The Motherboard- I have chosen the following models primarily-

a) ASUS Z97 K

b) ASUS Z97 A

c) Gigabyte GA-Z97-D3H (ATX version).

You may suggest few more within this range(ASUS Z97 A is the price limit) from Gigabyte / ASUS
( not MSI/AsRock, because MSI RMA is very poor in my area , kolkata,India & AsRock has quality issue) & having ATX Form factor.

Now my basic criteria--

1) The bios should not look like a jet plane control pannel (must be simple and understandable).

2) It should be good for atleast next 5-6 years & having ATX Form factor.

3) Should be overclockable with stock cooler.

Actually I have kept my last budget reserved for the MoBo, and I will be upgrading to an i7 next

year. Hope the price will come down by then. So can not invest on a cooler or graphics card right

now.May purchase a cooler master hyper at the end of this year.

What I need to do

1) Run multiple OS on virtual terminals.

2) Highspeed internet browsing ( I have 4 MBPS connection only).

3) Light modern gaming in HD.

4) A safe OC of G3258 to 3.5-3.8 GHz.

Am I good to go? Please advice (specially MB b'coz I have not purchased that yet).

As already mentioned, MSI 's RMA is very poor in my area. The gigabyte GA-Z97-D3H is something I am considering buying now. It has all the features and a dual bios, which is helpful for first time overclocker like me (although I will not try to overclock more than 10-15%). This one is the cheapest among the lot.

Get Gigabyte GA-Z97-D3H which is on sale in erodov forum for 9.5k.

if you plan on upgrading to an i7, overclocking with that gigabyte mobo is not really recommended and wont yield much positive result because of limited power phases.
I would recommend asus z97 a. also forget about overclocking on stock cooler. if you are thinking about future, save some money and get at least cooler master hyper 212x
