Not using any other antivirus. Windows defender did pretty good job till now.
Got a licence for malwarebytes pro version, should i disable defender. both seems to run along without any issues but would there be any compatibility issues in future?

i remember i almost bricked my old desktop when i installed both norton and avg at same time.

use Malwarebyte Pro ( without auto scanner/guard ).. disable defender and install avira free and you are done ;-)

I'll not recommend Windows Defender. Use Malwarebytes when you have some infection, its good in cleaning up Virus/Malware.

Use a free AV like Avast or Avira for everyday protection.

please tell which check boxes to uncheck.. i'm guessing you are referring to protection module one.

i'm not using any antivirus since 2 years and never my pc caught a virus from internet. just want protection from virus and malware from pendrives etc. :p

right now i have both malwarebytes pro and windows defender on realtime protection, i'm afraid it would cause any conflicts. i've read not to use two antivirus at same time, so... as of now, they are working smoothly at same time.

Most antivirus software will deactivate Windows Defender during installation itself. But I think Malwareytes Pro does not conflict with most other antivirus software. Using these two together but may not cause problems.

While Windows Defender does a good job, since you have a Pro license of another good antivirus software, if I were in your place, I'd probably use Malwareytes Pro and decativate Windows Defender. :)

Guys , does Norton slow your system? I have been using Norton since 2005 :)-D) & it seems to become better with time. Currently I am running Norton 360 Licence & right from the Installation process, it runs smooth & it scans my Fb wall too ( do other antiviruses have that feature too?)

Remove the tick mark from " Enable filesystem protection".
