I also have the same question in mind...also it would be very helpful if someone could point out the cons of having such a low resolution on such a large screen(read Galxy Grand)? How apps get affected due to this fact?? Thanks Anish9218 for asking that question:-o

I've read in reviews that lower resolution like the one on grand would result in less crisper text, no other con apart from that.
Personally I'm using devices like galaxy tab 2 & iPad mini, both of which have lower pixel densities than grand, and I'm not facing much issues however.

In fact, a lower pixel density would prove to be a lesser burden on CPU n Gpu, implies u can extract more out of less powerful hardware.

Correct. Its only the sharpness that takes a hit. But battery life is comparatively better. The Galaxy grand is pretty much the onlu phone at that budget with a 5 inch screen. Try it and then buy if you like it

Homeshop18 has the HTC one S for 22k in their superdeal for a day. You might want to consider that too as an option

All doubts arising on low resolution on 5 inch Galaxy Grand is baseless. You don't even notice any difference from other higher resol. phones..Resolution is not good for you only if you use microscope for viewing your mobile.Lower resolution may give rise to difficulty in reading text in apps.Galaxy Grand is a great product from samsung & if you don't actually believe me,check out it at any local shop near you..

Just read ebook in it. You will notice the difference, also the specs not that impressive for the price. LG Optimus L9 is better product.

Watch this video from 4.14, I think people are simply overreacting. The display is not that bad & also Grand Scored 58 in NenaMark 2 (8:20) so this device is very good for gaming : Samsung GALAXY GRAND Duos Full Hardware, Performance, Benchmark tests & Review - YouTube

Guys my budget's actually 15k, adding the rest from my pocket money. I can't add 1-2k more :( I've seen Grand, and the display aint that bad. A friend of mine bought L7 a few months ago for 18k, In 2 days he had battery issues, camera issues and a 720p playback issues. Luckily he just bought it the day after L7 launched, so the shopkeeper had the phone exchanged for Neo L. :D Ever since, I stopped trusting LG phones :/ SL is out of budget.. Any other phones that I can wait for?

below L9 & S Advanced, all mobiles from LG & Samsung pack really crappy hardware. If it shows defect the same day or the next, it'll qualify for DOA (dead on arrival) and anybody is eligible for a replacement. These things doesn't make a mobile bad or enough to completely ignore it.
Get L9 or S Advanced. Don't think of anything else. S Advanced is like a lame excuse to ignore L9.
