The first 2 models of G6 are best sellers in recent times.. apu one works as an i3 for daily tasks and good enough for gaming when crossfire is enabled. intel i5 one is good for speed multi-tasking and other programming works also plays games almost equal to apu one. the extra 5k depends on how u want to use ur laptop..

The HP G6 will not give you a great battery life but will certainly allow you to perform daily tasks and gaming easily. The G6 series is amazing for it's price. The basic problem that people face in 2010ax model is due to the drivers as drivers are not provided with it whereas 2005ax(it's little brother) provides all drivers but has lower ram and hdd. I'd recomend 2010ax and for the driver, just ask...the community here is very helpful.

2016tx and 2010ax will both provide you 3 hours of battery under power saving and hp revommended mode. Both are good laptops for price range.
I myself own a 2005ax and it's really good for it's price.

Also, try not to go with sony... You probably won't like the built quality of those laptops because their low end laptops look very cheap while HP still tends to look good.

first of all, flipkart won't ship laptop to guwahati. i already contacted their CC and they don't cover guwahati for laptop or such costly and bulky item. secondly, here in guwahati all shops will price laptop in the range of 2-5k above flipkart's pricing. i had a pricelist from Datamation and 2005AX is priced at 35.5k (will give at 34.5k if you bargain) and 2016TX crossed 45k.

If you don't want to cross your budget, get 2005AX. Or if gaming is not your priority (casual gaming i.e. no BF3, Borderlands2, Max Payne 3, Most Wanted kind of game) then 3rd gen Core i5 will suite you more.

you'll not know if the laptop is powered by A8 or i5 unless you try to run some system heavy apps like compression or decoding. at least when you game you won't see any difference.

one of the best looking laptops + battery life: Samsung NP355V5C-S03IN. will cost 38-39k.
if you can sacrifice looks, then go for this. pure performance at lowest price: Lenovo Essential G580. will cost you 35k.

Sun & Shine (lakhtokia road) and Jain Computers (opposite end of ulubari flyover). first get a quote from datamation and then compare it with Jain. They usually price their items 1k cheaper than datamation but without any free gift.

with Samsung you get better looks, more warranty (1+1), more ram, more HDD space, W7 HP (doesn't really matter i guess), anti-reflective display, slightly slimmer.
HP is cheaper, accidental damage protection + best service, tried and tested product, bag (yes, no bag with Samsung), really bright display but glossy.

these are the only difference. i have used the HP (owned by my friend) and it felt solid and has standard looks. nothing outstanding but slightly thicker.
