Hi,
I want to buy a tab for my sister.
So the requirements are a good resolution and responsive touch screen. Ease of use and durablility is the most important part.
She will be accessing internet mostly so 3G connectivity and SIM slot must be there (if not SIM, must support dongle). Android 4.0 a must.

Req:
Good resolution and responsive capacitive touchscreen : Must
3G Dongle: Must
Android 4.0: Must
Android market compatible: Must

Front facing cam: would be a plus
Sim card slot: would be a plus

Screen Size: 7"/10"
Brand: Any

Wifi: doesn't matter
Gaming: won't be a priority

I am unaware of the tabs that are in the market though a little bit of googling reveals "iberry AUXUS AX02" to be somewhat popular. But the product is out of stock on HS18 & flipkart. Is it still available. Is this the best choice? What about micromax offerings?

Also cam across this- Specification of @PAD TABLET PC

Ask the man who owns one!
What I will say is that getting a tab under 10k is not a good option. Under 10K, you will get a tab which will have old OS Like AM-8 which are relatively pretty slow. You should go for atleast i3 processor. Though micromax funbook is gaining some popularity but as per me it's not worth getting.

There are many budget tablets available in the market in that price bracket and surely there is one that fits OPs requirements.

AFAIK, most (almost all) budget tabs under 10k runs on Android and the ones with 1GB ram and a good processor even don't lag when multitasking.

You should go for atleast i3 processor.
Now I really don't have a clue about what you wrote there.. You might wanna read OPs requirement again.. :p :p

The funbook costs much less than OPs budget and there in no point in going for that if he can get a better tab. I agree with you here. :p :p

@OP - Take a look here. Some good models around 10k are listed there.
And I dunno much about "iberry AUXUS AX02". You might wanna take a look at the AX03G..

Thanks. I think sumit was thinking of a netbook or something...!

Thanks for your suggestions. I also came across this - Ainol Novo 7 Crystal and it seems a good option @8k but what I am really worried about is 3G dongle compatibility.
Anyone has any idea about this?

Would it be safe to buy the wammy one from that site?

As the link I posted is the official site of Wickedleak, I see no harm in purchasing from that site. Check delivery options in your area and opt for Cash On Delivery if its there (i haven't checked it :p )

Broken In
Tech2 noted that Wammy Desire's screen display ripples if you tap at the back of the tablet.

The same problem was encountered in the Athena too

If you pay 500 extra you can get the Desire with 1024px resolution

BREAKING NEWS: 10" tablets with dual-core processors have nearly-broken the 10K price-point. Karbonn has come out with such a tablet for 10.3K
