In some Games I've seen the logo of Nvida saying " The way Its meant to be Played " , I wanna know what does it mean , Does it mean that it can be played on only Nvidia Cards and not on Ati Cards ??
I also have heard that In Desktop Graphics Cards , Nvidia cards are not that well now a days and cant handle applications like MAYA, 3DS MAX, while Ati Cards can handle anything smoothly whether it would be gaming or any Software like MAYA OR 3DS MAX, if it is true then i want to know whether this also happens in Laptop Graphics card or not.

"TWIMTBP" (The Way Its Meant To Be Played) is a developer relations program by NVIDIA for game developers wherein they provide bug testing, tips and optimization to make the game run better and look better on NVIDIA cards.

Image quality tweaks generally are universal and will benefit AMD too (with the exception of PhysX) while performance tweaks are meant to enhance the performance of NVIDIA cards.

AMD has a similar program called "Gaming Evolved". It works similarly. Either way, the AMD or NVIDIA logo implies that the game will generally run better (j.e. performance or a few extra effects) on NVIDIA or AMD cards and the competitor suffers slightly. However, this is not a given, in most cases you are able to play smoothly.

For example, in a game like, say AVP which is a Gaming Evolved title, the HD 6770 may beat the GTX 550 Ti. In Bulletstorm (TWIMTBP), the opposite happens and GTX 550 Ti beats 6770.

However in general it does not affect the gameplay or graphics.

As for professional applications, the Radeon cards are generally better for Maya. 3DS Max I haven't heard of any notable differences.

Nothing like that. All games work fine everywhere.

AMD Gaming Evolved games also work fine on nVidia cards.

There are some funny cases as well. DiRT 3 is an AMD Gaming Evolved title and is working better on nVidia cards in current generation. Crysis/Metro 2033 are nVidia TWITMP titles and are running faster in AMD cards in current generation.

yes. Viewports in nVidia consumer cards are very slow (intentionally crippled through driver). Whether laptop or desktop. AMD Radeon has faster viewports and at the moment, much better compute performance.
