i have the following config:
CPU Type QuadCore AMD Phenom X4 9650, 2300 MHz (11.5 x 200)
Motherboard Name Asus M3A78-EM
Motherboard Chipset AMD 780G, AMD K10
System Memory 1792 MB (DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM)
DIMM1:Kingston RBU128X64D2U800C6E 1 GB DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM (6-6-6-18 @ 400 MHz) (5-5-5-15 @ 333 MHz) (4-4-4-12 @ 266 MHz)
DIMM2:Kingston RBU128X64D2U800C6E 1 GB DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM (6-6-6-18 @ 400 MHz) (5-5-5-15 @ 333 MHz) (4-4-4-12 @ 266 MHz)

i want add another 2gb ram module for the upgrade my manual says :
Dual-channel memory architecture
4 x 240-pin DIMM slots support unbuffered ECC and
non-ECC DDR2 1066*/800/667MHz memory modules
Supports up to 8GB system memory
* Due to AMD CPU limitation, DDR2 1066 is supported
by AM2+ CPU for one DIMM per channel only.
** Refer to ASUSTeK Computer Inc. or user manual for
Memory QVL (Qualified Vendors List)
*** When you install a total memory of 4GB or more,
Windows® 32-bit operation system may only
recognize less than 3GB. Hence, a maximum of 3GB
system memory is recommended if you are using a
Windows 32-bit operation system.

if i a buy 2gb 800mhz ram ,will it runs at 800 mhz speed? also i have window7 32bit,so i will get a max of 3gb available.
i am considering to buy "Kingston DDR2 2 GB PC RAM (KVR800D2N6/2G)" from flipkart but it is not in Memory QVL (Qualified Vendors List).none of the rams available on flipkart are in Memory QVL.will this module will work?

yes it should work the QVL list mentions the rams asus have tested with that MB if it is not in there dosen't mean that it won't work
as long as it matches the required specifications it will certainty work

^^ All 800 MHz DDR technology based rams run at half the speed of their quoted speed. For example, DDR2 800 runs at 400 MHz speed, DDR3 1600 runs at 800 MHz speed. But DDR can transfer twice the data in a single clock cycle compared to a SDR Ram. So the effective speed is actually double.

sujeet2555, since all the three DDR2 modules are of 800 MHz, they will run at 800 MHz speed.

ok thanks for the answers .i have ordered from flipkart and received today the kingston 2gb ram.it is showing 3.5 gb usable.i was thinking that i have to install 64bit to use more than 3gb ram as specified by asus.
now i have another problem related with the ram but not exactly of the ram.after installing 2gb extra ram ,size of hiber.sys gets bigger and i am getting low space about 300mb free space on cdrive.is there any way to move hiber.sys to another partition using registry?
please show me the right way!
