HP dv6-6017tx for 53000.
the best graphics card(6770M) and processor (i7 2630QM) you can get in this price range. Plays most games smoothly at high settings. Sound is good too

Dell XPS15 for 54000
You get an i5 + GT540. Will play games at mid to high settings. It has the best in class speakers

Vaio C series
i5 + 6630M. The Gfx is not that good but it has a full HD screen. It also means that games will have low fps but will be a better experience while browsing etc

You can exclude Sony because of gaming. Both XPS and HP will do all tasks you need to do. HP will do them a little better. You can play CoD on XPS at full settings and crysis 2( i know you have not mentioned it but it is a very gfx intensive game and i am quoting it for comparison purpose) at mid settings. HP can do Crysis 2 at high settings and Witcher 2( the most gfx intense game in the market) at mid settings. As far as I know all laptops support 5.1

most Laptops arent meant to game at max settings. Desktops are made for that.
You can play at max setting but it must be at lower resolutions. Dont try Shift 2 at 1080p at a lappy :wink:

I have a Vaio C and can run FIFA 11 and NFS Hot Pursuit at max without any stutter....... and the lappy looks cool...... you just can't beat a full HD screen.....;-)

XPS is also a good.... just that I find them quite bulky...... they server well as desktop-replacements...... but tend to be on the heavier side for a laptop...

do hp dv6 6017 or dv6 6021 have switchable graphics problem?

i mean do they have radeon 6770m or both radeon 6770m and intel HD graphics 3000?

I guess the Hp laptop has a bad battery backup.
Plus Dell has an extremely good option for 3 years warranty which in my opinion is a must for laptops because when you game quite a lot you never know when the heating problem would be a cause of concern in the future, generally after a yaer or so.
Hp has an awesome hardware, but battery backup (if this model has a good backup then its alrite) and warranty issues are also important. You wouldnt wanna be spending around 13k incase in future your gaming habits might damage the motherboard due to heating and a new one would set you back by atleast 12k.

Not much. Only resolution.
720p= 1366x768
1080p= 1920x1080

only resolution:shock:
what about the experience,believe me once u have used a 1080p lappy you cant use a 720p one......browsing,movies is just great in FHD.........
there is a vast difference if you see both laptops togeather.....
i have a cb15(1080p) and my sister has dell inspiron(720p)
