Hell is Ma PlayGround
Hello All,

Currently i have this config:
ASUS Motherboard with AMD Athlon 64 bit 3200+(running at 2.1GHz)
1.5gb 400MHz DDR Memory, 500 +320GB HDD, 9600GT Graphics card,
Zebronics Gaming Cabinet with Cooler Master extreme Power Duo 600W SMPS.

I want to upgrade my Motherboard, Processor and RAM now. Can you all suggest something within 15K for playing latest games. I don't have any issues for chipset of AMD or Intel. Are there any recent launch or price drops that you know which would be advantageous w8in for a month or so.

Please also suggest any retailer here in Banglore who can exchange my old products for new ones!!!:???:

Thanks a lot in advance...:razz::razz:

Cheers,
Anup

At that moment if u buy components, u need to make sure it should be futureproof enough to support next gen components since H/W is going through a transition.

M/B: Go for AMD 785 or 790G chipset based M/B. They support all the next Gen Processors and have some extra features (Like Advance Clock Calibration or ACC). My suggestion is Biostar TA785GE 128M @ 4.3k.
It is a good board and offer very high Price/performance value.
Don't go for 780G based boards from any company. they lacks lot of advance features.

Processor: For processor, I have two suggestion for u. Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz B.E. @ 7.5k or Athlon II X4 620 2.6GHz @ 5.6k. Athlon II X4 is the cheapest Quad core. It is basically a Phenom II processor with L3 cache disabled. But with a 790 or 785 chipset based M/B there is a high chance that u can unlock the L3 cache. It has performance similar or slightly better than Intel Q8200 CPU.

RAM: Kingston 2 X 2 GB DDR2 800MHz RAM @ 2k

So
Processor: Athlon II X4 620 2.6GHz @ 5.6k
M/B: Biostar TA785GE 128M @ 4.3k
RAM: Kingston 2 X 2 GB DDR2 800MHz RAM @ 2k
TOTAL: 11.2k
If u go for X3 720 then total will be 13.1k

Thanks to Comp@ddict for his latest price chart.

Dude i dnt need a graphics card..As i mentioned i lredy hv 1...
So summing it up 4 d prices mentioned by u
5K(Processor)+ 4k(Motherboard) + 2k((2*2GB RAM(DDR2)) = 11k..Hmmm...Think i can still go 4 a better processor/motherboard....Any more suggestions plz....

Get the AMD Athlon II X4 620 with the Biostar mobo alongwith Corsair XMS2 2x2GB @ 4k.
You can even get the ASUS M785-EVO mobo with 2x2GB DDR3 RAM. Thatwould be a best along with the Athlon II X4. The mobo costs 7k and is more future proof.

Core i5 is going to set you back by about 12k plus mobo will be minimum 7k. Not for you at all.

The AMD Athlon II X4 is the most VFM Quad core you will ever get. Go for it. For a better processor, wait for core i5 to launch and then the Amd Phenom II X4 series will drop in price. Then you can go for that.

Go with the Techalomaniac's suggestion. Core I5 Processor+ Mobo combo will be really pricy. Save the money for a good PSU.

I think u should stick with the AMD config. They offer much value for money and are a little future proof than Intel.
Because AMD does not change the M/B req every time they release a new processor.
