Thank you Cilus. I will get Seasonic SS12II 520W PSU. Later, if add more HDD or an SSD this PSU will suffice? If I do overclocking, will this be sufficient? I haven't done that before. But in case, I wanted to try it, can 520W handle that too?

What about the monitor? Is Dell S2240L good enough for gaming?

For cabinet, I can get NZXT Gamma. Are there other suggestions?

Suggest me a UPS as well..

Thanks for all the wonderful responses so far. This forum is helping a lot of guys like me who have next to no knowledge of hardware. Keep up the good work.

Thanks again..

For UPS get an APC RS-600 ups. SHould be enough.

And now,if you want to assemble the pc yourself and learn how to do it,watch the 3 tutorials by newegg.
These videos are very helpful, easy to understand and explain things well. Be patient. And just for safety, have someone knowledgeable around when you assemble.

Hi All.

Is this Asus Hd 7950 directcu II top 3gd5 - Golchha Computers same as Sapphire HD7950 vapourX? Or is it different? I also saw SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD7970 3GB DDR5 boost edition. but it costs more. Around 30,000.

NZXT Lexa S cabinet looks cool. Will I be able use that cabinet instead of Gamma/Source 210?

I also found *www.golchhait.com/index.php/build-ur-pc/product/1976-gskill-ripjawsx-8gb-1866mhz. This is just Rs. 400 more than 1600 MHz. Should I go for this? Or 1600MHz is just fine?

Can I do overclocking with 520W PSU? Or do I need a 620W?

Thanks.

Thanks Ashish,

few more doubts.

NZXT Lexa S cabinet looks cool. Will I be able use that cabinet instead of Gamma/Source 210? Will all my components fit in it?

Can I do overclocking with 520W PSU? Or do I need a 620W?

I saw a motherboard M5A99X EVO R20. Is it any better than M5A97 EVO R20? Or it makes difference only if I go for mutiple graphics card?

> Lexa S does not have front USB 3.0 ports. there are better cabinets that it in the same price range. if you can spend 4k on the cabinet, then get Corsair 300R eyes closed: probably the best cabinet at its price .

> Stick to the standard speed 1600 MHz ram. you can always overclock it though.

> 520W PSU is enough for overclocking the cpu and gpu.

> Yes it makes sense only if you go for multi-gpu setup.

Hi All,

I had to buy a PC for my brother.

So I could not buy this PC. Just reopening the thread.

I saw a configuration

AMD FX 8350 DESKTOP 8 CORE - Golchha Computers

How different is this from the suggested configuration? Can I go with this?
Are there any custom changes that I need to do along with this PC?

Thanks

S12II 620 is 500W+ AFAIK ;-)
there's two model. This one is 620W.

For UPS get an APC RS-600 ups. SHould be enough.

Any PC with anything greater than an i3 with a lower mid range and above should atleast consider APC 1.1KVA(660W).

With the 600VA(360W) model suggested above you can get around 2mins in gaming load but later when battery wear level is near 70% you will get near 1 mins.

Hi All,

I finalized the configuration into

AMD FX 8350 - 11150
Asus M2A97 EVO R 2.0 - 7200
G Skill RipJaws 8 GB(1600) - 4250
WD Blue 1 TB (64 MB cache) - 3750
CoolerMaster 311 - 2150
Sapphire HD7950 vapourX - 22000
Seasonic S12II 620 Watts PSU - 5400
Asus 24x DVD Writer - 975
MK 200 - 680
Dell S2240L - 8500

Do you guys suggest anyother changes? I will make the purchase next week (in my next billing cycle). Will buy Graphics card and monitor from credit card and others by cash. That gives me 2 months salary before I need to pay for them.

How good is Dell S2240L for gaming? I dont want head aches by playing games.

CoolerMaster 311 cabinet would be enough to accomodate all these components? or do I need to look for a better cabinet?

If I am not doing any overclocking, I dont need any cooler right? Or do I need to buy them also now?

Thanks again for all the response.

considering about stated build
Well what gfx are they providing?? I think some cheapy one.
Also I doubt about PSU ( 90%+ chances are there that you are getting a crappy CM PSU+cabby)
Hence I suggest to drop this one & get the one suggested in thread.

I know...
Cilus said to get S12II 520 & op was already getting S12II 620 so i said 620=500+ :-D

ok.. Then I will go with the following configuration.

AMD FX 8350 : 11299
GSKILL RIPJAWS 8 GB 1600MHZ : 4300
CORSAIR 300R CASE : 4000
SEASONIC 520W POWER SUPPLY : 3799
ASUS DVR RW DRW24B5ST INTERNAL SATA : 999
Logitech G1 Gaming Desktop : 1499
M5A97 EVO-R2.0 : 7000
WD 1TB Blue Iinternal hdd : 3800
Dell S2240L : 8500

Total : 45196 + Tax

Please suggest a graphics card also. Now, I want a low cost one. I cannot spend too much on graphics card now. I will upgrade it later. I will try few games and if I enjoy them, then will decide whether to spend that much on a graphics card or not. I need a UPS too. UPS, I will take APC 1.1kv. How much does this cost?

Any changes are required in the config?

I heard that with the stock cooler, 8350 generates too much heat and is noisy. Do I need a better fan/cooler?

> Config is good.

> For graphic card, get HD7750 now if you can.

> APC 1.1 kVA is good. it will cost you around 4 to 4.5k

> FX 8350's stock cooler is sufficient for stock speeds and for few 100 MHz of overclock. You shouldn't upgrade the cooler unless you are running the pc 24x7 or overclocking it.

Well then I say you should put GFX on hold.. get 1.5-2k card / gather amount for HD7950/7970/ GTX760 & then only get a card..

AMD cooler is quite good upto 4GHz

Without a discrete graphics card the 8350 will not work right? I need some graphics card. Which graphics card should I go for?

Is HD7750 good for that? how much does it cost? If I decide to buy a good graphics card like HD7950/7970/ GTX760 later, will this card be useless? Will I still be able to use HD7750 in multi GPU mode (CrossFire/SLI or whatever. I don't know). Or the multi GPUs should be of same type? Instead of getting a HD7950 later, can I get another HD7750 and do crossfire? Does my motherboard support this? Or should I go for M5A99 board? If HD7750 is not good enough for this, which card should I buy, that can be used to crossfire. I can manage around 10k for graphics card now.

If these are not options, please let me know about a cheap card, that I can dispose without worrying.

For 10k get GTX650 afterwards get HD 7970 & use this for PhysX..

HD7750 Cf is very bad idea..
7870 is min fo a good CF( BTW currently AMD drivers are playing hell)

Yeah few guys in this forum have this multi GPU setup..
PhysX is a nVidia special effect thingy for physics of game although a few games use it

>There are a couple of drawbacks with having a dedicated PhysX video card. The main one is power consumption. You PC's overall power consumption will increase even when you are not playing games, since you will have another video card hooked up to your PC. The second problem is that the dedicated PhysX video card will only be used with games based on PhysX technology, so only a few games will use this additional video card.

I understand this. Later when I buy a good graphics card, I can use the old card as a dedicated PhysX processor.

Do I need a GTX650, for this? or some more low level card can do the trick?

Chaitanya

Yeah obviously low cards as low as GT 430 are enough.
I suggested GTX 650 cause you had 10k budget..
for lower budget look for HD6670 DDR5 @5.5k
or for nvidia look for GT630 for about 4k
