1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')

Ans:Win 8/7 ; steam os

5. How much hard drive space is needed?

Get 2 x 4GB ram instead of single 8gb.

What resolution is your monitor? If it isn't 1080p then no point getting 280X

Hi,

Just a doubt. If the OP is not planning to overclock and is going to use a dicrete GPU, why is Xeon processors not recommended?

Intel Xeon E3-1230 v3 will be good for an additional rs. 2500/-. This processor was available in Bangalore SP road for 16,000+ a month back.

I quote my prices from flipkart etc. so they are on higher side. You cannot compare my prices here with local prices. For ex I purchased i5 4570 recently for 12900 locally in Allahabad.

Xeon E3-1230 is good but not worth the extra bucks IMO

Xeon E3-1230 is worth the cost since it is essentially an i7 without the inbuilt graphics and costs way less than those i7s.
