Do OSS users infringe other copyrights

Clearly...you know very little about your own rights but want to have an elaborate discussion about them  *arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20071002-sony-bmgs-chief-anti-piracy-lawyer-copying-music-you-own-is-stealing.html *news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6095612.stm...

Do OSS users infringe other copyrights

I care about both of them but they are entirely different. I am not bound to care about one if I care about another. It is not an AND situation where if I care about one thing I HAVE to care about the other one. Its not like if I care about GNU GPL...I have to care about Music copyright as...

Do OSS users infringe other copyrights

Weird thread title and a weirder thought behind the thread. Can someone tell me that what is there in a Open Source Software that makes its users saints or copyright fanatics (which is what this thread intends to show them like)? I didn't get any red and blue pills with my Ubuntu 7.10...

How Do I Go About Installing Linux?

Your kernel will notice your activities and start swapping & caching according to that. You need to wait for like 2-3 hours at least :)

Vista is still the most secure OS to date.

lol! Just because you have been completely owned and all your points telling us about Microsoft being a victim of RIAA have been destroyed...you start posting these short stupidities? You are gx_saurav (read complete idiot) after all :D

Vista is still the most secure OS to date.

The law! The law stops RIAA & MPAA from suing MS because there is no clause in DMCA that can "force" Microsoft to include DRM. Why Google went to DoJ? Go and read about the settlement and clauses that were signed by Microsoft in their antitrust case. Exactly what I have been trying to hammer in...

Vista is still the most secure OS to date.

...and they could have easily by-passed this choice. XP is still being used by people around the world for TV viewing and recording WITHOUT DRM! This was not a compulsion but a choice from Microsoft. Oh a person who spells government as governmant has a word like "pinnacle" in his vocabulary...

Vista is still the most secure OS to date.

...and how is that comparable to this situation? Yes and Microsoft even without DRM would not have broken ANY clause of DMCA while releasing Vista. They just needed to exclude recording capabilities and leave that to the user to use and decide. Just like how Windows XP was working. XP...

Linux leaders plot counterattack on Microsoft

They will listen if what is being said is true! Not the utter bull like Adobe uses Qt for making Photoshop GUI

My system Tempratures in ubuntu, are they normal??

Your system is running at 38°C. Is that too much or too less for you? Why are you worried?

Vista is still the most secure OS to date.

People are already doing their TV recordings without any DRM or Vista-MCE. DMCA didn't force Microsoft to include DRM...it was their "choice" not a necessity! Microsoft could have easily released Vista without DRM and none of the clauses in DMCA could have stopped them. Stop lying! Microsoft...
