how do you read that ?

D string - 1s2 ??

So, I have been learning some simple rhythms. Is it ok to start learning like that. I guess that keeps the interest going on.

start from Open Chords such as E,A,Am,C
watch a youtube video of 'Axis of Awesome'....using only 4 chords one can play 100 songs or more than that

I'd say that you learn shifting first. Learn by shifting from A to D to E till you are confident that you can shift between these subconsciously. Then go for G to C to D (i.e One step lower than the previous progression).

Which is the best sounding chord ?

Obvious noob is obvious...

Depends upon the music you are trying to play. If you are playing Jazz, try add9 or Maj7 chords. For blues, try 7th Chords. For Rock/Metal go for 5th Chords (aka Power chords). There is no fixed definition for best sounding chord.

Try some of these chords:

Amaj7 X02120
Dmaj7 XX0222
Cadd9 X32030
Fadd9 XX3210

Top Bottom
