Hey Desmond you asked about the technique used by Baiju[motherjane guitarist]Here's one live video of him,his rendition of mile sur mera tumhara.I think he uses quick hammerons and slides and sometimes tremelo.btw The song starts @ 2:30:mrgreen:

The guitars's body resembles an Ibanez prestige 1570?[not sure because of the fret inlays and the input for the cord is below the knobs as in the 'S' series][.the amp is a Laney lionheart l50h head.

here's an interview !

@Nandu,

I asked people on the UG forums they say that its simple distortion along with the tremolo bar, nothing special about it. The scale that he uses (probably a Harmonic minor) gives it an Indian flavour.

What if the guitar doesn't have a truss rod ?

Is there a way to decrease the action then ?

Take off saddle - rub lower end of saddle against sand paper - fit into guitar - check action - repeat from step 1 as required.

Truss rod is the hole below the fret board or ?

Look inside soundhole towards where the neck attaches to the body - if there's a hole there, thats where your truss adjustment rod goes in, else its near headstock.

If the truss rod hole is not under your sound hole, then it must be near the headstock under that while plastic cover over there.
