YT Live stream money

Hi,

So a live stream was recommended to me last night in the YT app. Few guys were playing PUBG. One of them runs a YT channel. I watched for about 5 minutes and people were donating money in the denomination of 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 etc. On an average in a minute those guys made about a 1000 bucks. The stream was up and running for about 4 hours. How do people donate money to them by YT? The million dollar question is, those guys didn't look like they needed any money so why donate to them? Sorry I am not up to date with this YT vlogging and stuff so no idea about this.

BC kamaal hai yaar, those guys are already earning money from YT. People were paying like 500 bucks and writing shout out to me. They should donate the money to someone in need instead of this.

But in all seriousness, in terms of esports some players have celebrity status. People will "donate" money just to see the guy speak their username in stream.
Thats how it is, I dont expect you to understand, ( I dont either ), but to each their own. Their money their decision.
And then there's "gamer girls" which is just basically porn with extra steps.

Are bhai c**tiya logo ki c**tiyapa mat dekho dimaag kharaab ho jayega. Also there are some fake donations too just to encourage you. I'm not sure in your case. Also dont watch their stupid stream... many of them are $%#$% don't deserve a fck also people who watches them or pay them are super #$#%^%^. I am not saying this that foreign streamers are good there also you will see many ch%^^s and their ultra chu@#@# viewers. Few people's (foreigners) channels are really interesting to watch watch them. Also don't watch any such kind of videos on youtube most of them are shit basically.

I don't watch that brother. Just opened up a stream for the first time as it was in the recommendation.

Donations should be for those who need them, those were rich guys playing PUBG on their 4k monitors with 32gb ram and GTX1080 8gb set up. 1000*60*5(5 because the stream was going on for 5 hours, I don't know for how long they kept on going), that's like HUGE.

Another quickie, a guy lives near our place. His YT channel has got about 5 lacs subscribes. He reviews gadgets and stuff. For famous Youtubers, companies send their own products themselves. Do these new vloggers buy every phone etc. for reviewing purposes or is there any donation or other source?

These days its hard to determine who is a sincere reviewer and who is actually kissing the company's ***es. Most reviewers are just promoters who leverage their high subscriber base for paid promotions of whatever products they are "reviewing".

Game streamers on twitch the other hand who stream everyday generally prefer donations.

True. But I was talking about the new vloggers. There are zillions of kids who are becoming "tech guru" on yt. They are somewhere between the age of 18-25. Since they are new so not much subscribers either. There is no way a company will hand them over gadgets for reviewing. So, now comes the numero uno question, are they all so rich that they buy each and every gadget for unboxing purposes?

It's the chicken and egg problem.

If you are rich, you can afford to buy stuff to review, have money to promote your video, and then once your subscriber count increases, approach company to ask for review units to be shipped to them.

If you are not rich, your only friend is "luck" or sheer dedication and quality and months of hard work promoting your work the manual way: sharing on social network sites and wish to get a viral hit.

And not being a big youtuber means Google will prefer to snip you off when things get rough. You have to be someone with tens of thousands of subscribers for Google to even give a shit about you.

Google is demonetizing videos that it deems not family-friendly because companies expressed concerns about their ads being shown on videos that have controversial or sensitive subject matter. As usual Google started pandering to the advertisers and content creators who make such videos get flagged and receive less ad revenue or none at all. The problem is that Youtube's algorithms are hit-and-miss and many times legitimate videos also get flagged accidentally. For these videos, Youtube is very slow to respond to channel owner's claims, which generally depends upon how popular the channel really is. If your channel is small, then don't expect too much cooperation from Youtube if your channel gets flagged. But if you are a big time youtuber like PewDiePie then they will respond much faster.

Earlier the Indian wannabe 'Tech youtubers" used to order phones from Flipkart and Amazon and then return the phones fro refunds. That is the reason online stores reduced return dates to 10 days from earlier 30 days. They also now insist on replacement first and later refund option. All thanks to A-Holes Tech youtubers.

I guess on gadgets especially smartphones there is only replacement option now and not refund.
