yahoo messeger crashing

hello,
im using winxp sp2.when i install yahoo messenger error reporting occurs.not only in messger bt many softwares report errors.when eroor reporting is disabled the application closes.hw can i solve this problem??????

What he means to say is that certain applications he uses crash on startup.

@dittualexlease post the names of the applications which crash along with their version numbers,as certain software have an incompatibility with xp service pack 2.
