Xiaomi Mi3, or Moto X1 / Huawei Honor 6

Hello!

posting on behalf of a friend. he needs a phone by December. was/is insistent on getting the mi3. however, seeing the status of its sale (or, the lack of it), i have suggested him to wait and advised to look for other options, like the zenfone 5, moto g2, moto x1, huawei honor 6. of these, if he can spend more (which he seems to be willing to, as budget is 15-20k)), am inclined to suggest the latter 2 to him.

1. is there any chance of the mi3 registration to restart anytime before December? he is to leave for sailing in December, and the phone will be used onboard, and he would be back from the sail after 6-8 months.

2. any user experiences for moto x1 and huawei honor 6?

please advise.

Mi3 is discontinued and Mi4 is going to take its place probably by mid December. Oneplus One is also going to launch during that time. So if I were him, I'd wait for it.

alright. am not sure if he would be around here till mid-dec. any guesses on what mi4 could be priced at?

Actually it is 18k.

@Maanas Honour 6 too is a good phone if he doesn't care about custom roms.

Oh I didn't remember the exact price since I am not interested in MI phones.

Unless he doesn't wants os updates, then yes.

also after sales for huwaei phones is even worse
overall id recommend-
Moto>Asus>xiaomi/Oneplusone>>huwaei
Moto and asus already have established service centres and excellent quality devices
xiaomi and one plus one are still lagging behind in this aspect but going by their international reputation id expect that to improve drastically soon
huwaei doesnt have any pros above Moto,one plus one and xiaomi in any way
Moto ,one plus one and xiaomi have better software updates etc- stock,CM and MIUI respectively ,huwaei lacks roms for most handsets
Asus seems to be releasing updates now and their quality is pretty good
