How do I install xfce in pcqlinux 2005 and ubuntu 5.04 ?What are the packages I need to download.

@ vignesh : If u hav FC3. XFCE comes bundled with it. I guess it's in 2nd CD as rpm. I can give u if u want.

How do you install different Linux distro's Vignesh. Each thing asks for it's own / mountpoint nd erases the other distro. How did u go abt when u installed ur distroes? And it wud b nice if u can give your method in points ie like tutorial.

If Ubuntu does not have a package for XFCE, you could get the XFCE graphical installer from www.xfce.org , and install it. You need to make sure you have its dependencies installed.

I went to their website.They have a graphical installer thats 18 Mb so I can`t imagine downloading that on a dialup.

You have to make seperate ext3 partitions for each .Tell me what are the distros you want to install I will give you a tutorial.

@ Vignesh : Thanks! I wanna install , RH9 or Fedora (preffered) , Mandrake ,Suse 9.3. and also ubuntu. I hav 2 x 40 Gb hdd's. One for Windows other for Linux!

Actually I heard problems with mandrake ,suse an d fedora.Why don`t we remove fedora and mandrake.We will start with rh9 and suse9.3.

First install rh9 and then suse by the way do not install the boot loader in suse.

Hi Vignesh! what if i install rh9 and UBUntu. Suse will take some time to come. I have added it thro roseindia and it sud tak 4 days minimum!

Then its easy.Install rh9 and then ubuntu.Ubuntu will identify rh9 automatically.I assume you are going to install ubuntu 5.04
