Windows updates backup!

Im very much proned to virus attacks or stuff wich leads 2 formatting my hdd....so d point is i ve 2 update my windows n antivirus(norton) everytime e fresh install it....any way i can backup wat ive auto-updated from net to use after reinstalling windows?

If u have already installed the updates, go to c:\windows\Software Distribution folder. There will be a download folder inside it. It will have many folders with wierd names.. like "b56cb336738217d91222cb81fd28b079". Inside all these folders, there would be a folder named "update". Inside this "update" folder, there will be a file "update.exe".. These files are the setups for the updates. So just make a backup of "C:\Windows\Software Distribution\Download" folder.. And you have all your updates!

u have a very Handy tool called AutoPatcher XP... now days with Broadband its not very hard to download... 330MB i guess the latest.. also all major Comp Mags do include AutoPatcher in their CD/DVDs...

well thanx a lot guys i got autopatcher xp wit digit cd/dvd..so i wl b using it...hope it solves my issue....so i wl just backup my current windows updates rite?
