Hi

This is my first post to the forums so I might be making some mistakes but i am looking for some information and hope any one can help me out..

~ First we know that windows 2000 has an SMP support kernel but not Win 98 or Win Me -- Does this make any difference if I use 2000 on a pc with single processor -- i mean that it works fine but are there some points which might create problems like since 2000 kernel is SMP -- running it on a single processor might mean running it at half power??

~ Second I hear that Windows ME is way unstable compared to WIn98.. Isit so?

~ Third Can I install MS Internet Explorer 6 in Win98?

AFAIK

First Question: Well a dual processor setup just to get more juice out of win2k seems absurd. also the cost and other hardware issues doesnt justify the dual processor setup.

Second Question: Yes windows 98 SE is a lot more stable than the Windows ME or is found out to be.

Third Question: Yes, IE 6 can be installed in Win98

Thanks pal

But in my first question I am not making a dual procesr system as I donot have enough money-- what I ask is if I run win2000 on single procesr pc am I wasting half power of what actually shud be provided instead of as u say "just to get more juice out of win2k"...
