Windows 8 not ready for gaming ??

Hey guys ...
I did a clean install of windows 8 on my pc yesterday. After I installed all the basic apps and all , I tried installing all my games again ..
But alas , none of the games worked ..

I installed Arkham city and it is giving a fatal error(Something to do with .Net Framwork ) ...
I installed Fifa 13 and it is crashing on start ...
I also installed borderlands 2 but it is also giving a missing dll .. (I did a bit of googling and it said it was some issue wil directX , however windows 8 is the latest OS so it must have all previous DirectX installed right ?? (Dats what I assume ... ))

Arkham City and Fifa were working like a charm on windows 7 ...

Then I was fed up and gave up installing any other games..

Any one has faced any similar issue with windows 8 ?? I tried running all games in compatibility mode .. but to no benefit ..
I am gonna buy a controller soon .. but Whats the point buying a controller if my games wont work ....

BTW : My Gfx card is GTX 560ti Twin Frozr II .. Dont see the one in the signature ...

P.S : All my games are from "you know where" .. All worked like a charm on windows 7 ...

Try installing microsoft framework and then install arkham city.

As for fifa, install direct x11 and try.

Have you installed your GFX drivers?

Windows does gives some problems with some games. I read a lot of cases about this.
