Win98SE is not running in my AMD machine

I have an AMD3000 machine. Win98SE loads smoothly in the computer, but
when I try to run Win98SE, the computer starts properly and after a while
the monitor gets no signal from the computer. The computer refuse to work and remain silent. Even after formatting the C drive, the problem remain same. But surprisingly WinXP has no problem in D drive. How it can be repaired? Please inform.

Is ur mobo an nforce 4 chipset one??It dun support WIN 98 nd ME. It needs Win 2000 or later.

Ya! aravind_n20 is right. New mobo doesn't supports Win 98.

Your mobo is incompatible with Windows 98.
