NOKIA 5230
Ok, my phone was not used for over 11months i.e from 2010 august.
The battery was removed and kept apart and at that time the battery was full.
And there is SIM on phone. I know the SIM is gone. I have to take a new SIM. But am not feeling good about the battery.
Is the battery fired? Do I need to buy a new battery?
If it not gone, will I get same battery backup when I use?

If gone how much it cost for a genuine Nokia 5230 battery (I think BL-5J model)
What else things need to buy to use my phone as before.
Will start using around this June last.
Thanks in Advance.

Put the battery in the phone. Charge fully. Then let it discharge completely. Repeat twice. Then, test to see how much juice the battery is capable of holding. If its bad, replace the battery...

Ya do this. Check how much backup it is providing. If not satisfactory then buy a new one.

Technically, the battery might not work at its full potential...you might have to get a new battery. But follow the steps as AndroidFan has suggested...test your battery
