WiFi Router buying suggestion

I want to buy a new WiFi Router but not sure which one to go for ?
For a 100Mbps broadband connection which one is the best to go for. Also, clarify about Dual-Band routers ?
Most probably I will be buying a two antenna router.
2.4 or 5GHz ?

Dual band=2.4GHz wifi(which everone has & which is why high chances of interference especially in an urban area) + 5GHz wifi(more speed but lesser range because of principles of physics, almost zero chances of interference). First decide your budget which is the most important factor.

There is only one type of wifi router. Cable modem is not actually ADSL modem which telephone broadband providers use. If it is optical fiber connection even then you need a normal wifi router only unless you plan to get your own ONT router(which I don't suggest anyway).
