i want to buy a ups and my budget is 2000... which one should i buy.

i want a good ups... mostly i am thinkin of buying APC, how is it???

my cpu and Dell's monitor and 4.1 woofer sound system consumes lot of power... so even if the power goes off.. the system should not restart.

is APC good for this... and i want a backup in range of 10 - 30 minute... tats it.

what's wrong with the hardware section ??

anyway on topic, APC is one of the best but i think will be little higher than 2k :( there is also MircoTech double Baterry UPS though I would allways prefer APC over it :D

u are confuse... there is lot of difference in 10mins to 30mins  to get a certain 10mins Back up one needs to buy a UPS which claims it will run more than 30mins, and to get a UPS which will give certain 30mins back up, one would need havy duty UPS which claims to provide more than 45 to 55 mins back up :(

agreed. You get an APC 1 kVA UPS for Rs. 2300/- advertised as 30-40 minute backup, but in real you get only 10 minutes or so.

if you get one which has 2 batteries in ur budget that will be good.

anyways APC and Elnova are good brands

I would suggest APC as it is the best one. Also they provide very good service too!! Using it for 4 years without any problem...
But the price is definitely more than the 2K range.

that apc is 1 kva? I think that would be 650 VA. If that is ok, go with that.

dont put ur speaker plug in ups.... if u have high end speaker... then it will require more power.... then ur backup time weill reduce... it always better not to cannot the speakers plug in UPS if speakers require heavy power load. and i would suggest u to go for APC... as many people have mentioned it.

I bought in AUG last year and I dont think I need to change the battery b'cuz it comes with a 2yr warranty (including battery)

Man APC rock in case of power supply i have been using it for about an year
i have a 500V one it give the me exact 20 min of back up time
u could go for a 650V or 1 Kva and it also give the safest protection from fluctuations
