Very hard to find out as one is an IGP that rarely people use and the other is a low end product that isnt manufactured anymore..
If you do not own a 8400 GS then dont buy, as 4200 is enough to power up FHD videos and play old PS2 era games

As you have buth available at your disposal, why not simple find it out yourself? Play games once using 8400 GS and once using the IGP and see what performs best.

You need to physically remove the graphic card form motherboard to disable it and use on-board graphics. To update the IGP driver download it from motherboard manufacturer's website and install it.

HD4200 [785g] is better than 8400GS and there's no Nvidia 8400GT for desktop pcs though nvidia released 8400 m GT for laptops.

Thanks. Can you tell how can I switch over to 785 G without removing the card.

Go into device manager and uninstall driver for the card. You can also disable the external graphic card and choose onboard graphics as default form the BIOS. After doing this plug the VGA cable to motherboard's VGA out instead of graphic card's VGA out and install the drivers for onboard graphics.
