Well grand is good for your needs but will you install many apps?
Cuz Samsung S#!t slows down after much apps
And if you don't wanna play heavy games and can go with an Indian brand then get xolo q3000
Has 1080p display and 5.5 inch screen
Great for watching movies and the display is as awesome as AMOLED

Not inclined towards Canvas, MMX and other local brands at all.
Not much into gaming, just few lightweight games from app store

Am also inclined towards Moto G.

But my sister, for whom this phone is meant wants a larger screen size as she
will use it for listening songs, videos and movies.

Also she is put off by Moto G because in that battery can't be replaced.

So she has selected Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo.

how does Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo compare with Moto G?

Grand neo is the worst android phone money can buy . You can check out the reviews if you dont believe Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo review - GT-I9060 a Grand Disaster

Better buy her a LG L90 or HTC Desire 501 (more underpowered than Moto G or L90 which share the same SoC but both have Kitkat). The only Samsung phone worth buying under 20k is S4 Mini, rest are pile of overpriced crap.

also a fact : Girls are attracted to Samsung like moths are attracted to flame for whatever unknown reason. From what ive seen even if you recommend a way better VFM phone from other BIG brands they would still buy the "galaxy" crap at the end. so beware :p

That's why I want to but the phone
Don't have too much experience with sources code but will learn soon
Also I have a lot of spare time now cuz just my 10th is over (2 engg. papers left still)
I will try to get as many dual sim roms as I can
Maybe you can help me in it too
