I have 4 seagates, and have had no problems with any of them, Have heard Western Diggy is good as well. had problems with a Maxtor and Fujitsu crapping out as soon as their warrenty expires. Seagates have good warrenty, not to sure what the warrenty is for the western's. check to see what kind of warrenty you get... (Mind you the Fujitsu was out of warrenty but they did ship a new out, which was nice, even though I lost all data on it :( )

well that maybe true over there in India, but here in Canada they don't do that, they ask you to ship it or take it to where you bought it from + reciept of purchase ( but yeah they do replace it from what I have been told by a friend), would be nice if someone would come out though I would ask them sooo many questions... probably why they just ask to send it back, so the service dude/dudette doesn't get pounded with stupid question :D .
