I have a nvidia 6200 tc and an intergreated graphics on my motherboard intel dg965wh. which would give better performance for gaming? also, by installing latest driver as mentioned in hardware discussion section, can i play all games @ 1024x768 @ high details, mainly transformers and nfs carbpn? plz answer it......

AFAIK d mobo dat u mentiioned comes with Intel GMA X3000 IGP which can b used for playin most currwent games @ respectable framrates @ low-medium settings

whereas, ur dedcated GPU is an extreme entry-level GPU
IMHO ur onboard GPU wud b better equipped 2 handle g rigours of gamin , provided u indeed have a intel DG965WH mobo with GMA X3000 IGP

altho it is always a gud prctise 2 keep ur drivers updated, doing so need not necessarily make a entry-level GPU perform like an SLI ;)
but i think dat with ur IGP u shud b able 2 play d games @1024x768 and mid-details

Wire muncher!
you hafnt mentioned anything abt the ram. btw, adding more ram and allotting sufficient to the onboard wil suffice. if u are buying 7600 upwards then its fine. otherwise in comparison to 6200 the onboard x3k is better.

only up2 a certain point
addin extra RAM will improve gamin performance

but gamin performance depends on 3 basic parameters - processor, GPU and RAM

if ur comp satisfies d system requirements on d processor and GPU front den increasing d RAM will give u a noticable boost in gamin performance

but if the processor and/or GPU fail 2 meet d min/recommended requirements, then no matter how much RAM u add, d game wont run

however even after ur procy and GPU meet d sys req, der is a limit up2 which ur game will recive a performance bost after addin d RAM which again depends on how powerful ur proccy and GPU r

What do you have to say on this config:
P4 2.0 Ghz
768 Mb system ram(DDR-I)
MSI PM8M -V

Will adding a gfx card help me to run new games(pro street, fear etc) at moderate settings(800*600 is ok for me) or should i upgrade the whole system? My mobo has a AGP slot.

a.k.a Niks
^^ yeah if u sort of turn off AA, AF and have other things at medium and a 800x600 resolution, things might run.. sorry mate but thats a really old config..!!
don't waste buying too much ram for that rig... don't go above 1GB IMO, not worth it..

I had installed intel graphics meda accelerator with driver and it actually have 384 mb ram as written in *en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_GMA#_note-Intel_2 but in dxdiag, i am only getting 256mb ram.......... also, my 512 mb ram has been reduced to 496 mb ram. why does this happen? it has already been reduced to 502mb ram when i am using nvidia 6200 tc...........
