Right off the assembly line
Hello

I am new here. I have to buy a PCI ethernet card for Dataone broadband connection. Can anyone tell me which one of these two is better? The D-Link model Number is DFE-520TX I do not know about Intex card. I am running a Pentium 3 with 256 MB RAM. (Old Computer).

Are there some other affordable cards available? I want cheapest card (10/100Mbps) but it should be very stable.

Thank You.

If you have to buy the card one time go for Dlink.
Intex,Techcom, and other have inferior chipsets. Moreever they cannot handle the Higher FSB of PCI slot when you over clock the CPU and mother board.
Dlink just dishes in everything..
Go for the best , hardly a difference of 200bucks.

Thank you to all forum members who have helped me. I am now going to get the D-Link card. The difference in price is not that much taking into account I intend to use this card in future for long time as well. I consider it a one time investment.

Thanks everyone.

I had used a cheap card (Rs.200 at that time)for few months when my Mobo didn't have built in Lan and it worked without any problem.
