what will be the best CPU for data science projects

Hi,
I am practicing data science using python and because of slow pc models are taking lot of time. I want to know what CPU should I use.

my choices are ryzen 7 , Intel i5 8 gen.
my budget is around 24k for CPU.

Well focus on faster Single threaded performance. Currently seeing performance dip in Intel processors due patches for Spectre and Meltdown processors, I would check at benchmarks of processors after patching before deciding. Also have as much RAM as possible in your budget.

Running older windows(7/8.1) on latest intel processors is a bad idea if planning on installing spectre & meltdown patches.Also programs that make a lot of system calls are the ones most affected by these patches.
