1) What is your budget - 40-45K INR

2) What size notebook would you prefer - 15"

3) Which country will you buying this notebook: India,
What do you think about flipkart? Can I trust this site?

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like: Any
b. Dislike: Acer, Toshiba, HCL

5) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
Gaming:Black Ops
Graphics: Photoshop, Flash
Movies - Everyday

6) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both?

7) Will you be playing games on your notebook? If so, please state which games or types of games?

Yes Big time

8) How many hours of battery life do you need?
3hrs will do


9) What OS do you prefer? Windows (XP or Vista or Windows 7), Mac OS, Linux, etc.

samsung - is this any good?
Anything from Asus ?


Can I get a Backlit Keyboard in this price range?

Your first option is a best buy, btw, from my personal experience, flipkart provides a excellent service..
and if you want a free home service for a year, go for DELL

The HP 6115tx has been discontinued. Its GPU is slightly better than 520M in Lenovo and Asus(mentioned by montsa007). Dell has no dedicated Gfx. I would prefer the Asus laptop. Second choice lenovo

There is no k53 series on Asus india website. Also there is no GTX540M card. It is possibly a GT 540M. Still a GT540 beats 6490M by 10fps.

14" is not that small. But Gfx card in 3016tx is great. G6-1201tx has a slower DDR3 card. + you get beats audio with 3016tx

If you are buying HP go with dv4. Nothing from HP is better within your range

I have an Asus laptop and its pretty good in terms of build quality...some small issues though...

Btw, the Asus Fusion based laptop (3400M IIRC) is available locally, its Rs28k in bangalore (incl of tax)

Lenovo has 520M GPU. Atleast go for a GT540M or equivalent GPU or stick with intel HD and a better processor

The best 15" you can get is from Acer

This one from lenovo is equally good(except for 1st gen proccy)
