vlc player problem

i recently formated my hdd and installed win7 fresh on my 250gb hdd...i then installed vlc player...it played audio alright but when i tried playing moies n video files all i get is this:
*i40.tinypic.com/149cz2g.jpg
i can hear the audio alright but no video...
i even installed the latest version of vlc player....also tried installing the latest k-lite codec pack but to no avail...
and yes the videos and movies are working fine in windows media player, classic media player and gom player...the files are all of diff format eg. avi, mpg, mkv, wmv etc.

please help me out here....vlc used to work earlier

u have this option by going in preferences>video>output module there first check advanced options and then change the module to opengl . see if that works for u !
