I've tried to install visual studio 2005 trial version onto my system, running on winxp sp2, using daemon tools to mount the visual studio image because i don't have a dvd drive. I've created the image on my frnd's pc and transferred it via pendrive onto my system. Now when i try to install the file using daemon tools, the installation stops with a warning saying 'The installation has encountered a problem and will quit'. the visual studio help file says that using image drives to install VS might not work coz they can mount a max of 2.2GB where as VS has 2.69GB. I've tried different DVD-ROM mounting softwares but to no use. the same warning flashes.
But VS was installed successfully thru dvd on a laptop running on vista which had a DVD drive. How do i get to install VS??

I don't know whether this may help you or not but nonetheless you can try this:
1. Check is the image file is corrupt or not. Recreate the file if possible.
2. U should have atleast 512MB RAM. Less than than gives problem most of the time.

Cheers
