Hmm, go back to your XP. Right click your My Documents, and enable Sharing (There will be some option to make it Private etc, deselect it and hit apply)

Whoops wait, you reformatted? A few seconds please.

Here you go:

Hey Relax. This happened beacuse Vista has applied its user rights on your folder. You will first have to take the ownership of your folder. I dont have XP so i cannot tell you how to do it in full detail but the process must be almost same in XP and Vista.

First, Remove Use Simple File Sharing options from Folder Options in windows explorer. Right Click on your folder and open Properties. Goto Security Tab, Add your username in the list by clicking on the button below it.

Now click advance. On the Owner tab select your username. Check the 'Replace owner on subcontainers and Objects' checkbox. and click apply.

Now on the permissions tab, double click on your user name. Check the box Full Control in the windows that opens and click Ok. On the permissions tab, also check both the checkboxes given below the list of users. Click Apply and OK.
Now, you'll have the full permission to use this folder.

Cheers!
