I am looking to buy in september. I am not a hardcore gamer though i like play latest games but usually play for 10-12 hrs a week(max). Also i am planning to PS4 next summer. So i am confused between Y500 and sony fit 15e. Also there is not much of review present about sony model. I don't want to go for samsung because of the heating issues. Please help. ( though i can wait till diwali but i am not interested in 4th generation. If there is a chance that y500 will come with full hd, then i can wait). Thank You!!:|

Since you're going to buy in september, let's hope more haswell models are released by other companies.
There's a decent hp (15-j001tx) but it's priced at 78+.
From the above options the best gpu is in y500. since the whole use is gaming-centric the y500 wouldn't disappoint.

Regarding the y500 question, I doubt it. One of the lenovo reps posted on their fb page that 510p would be coming in Oct. That might have FHD screen and 750m. :)

Sony FIT SE has better screen than hp 15-j001tx. But ut has weaker graphic card GT 740 with 64 bus width, weaker in the sense for 1080p display whereas lenovo has 768p display with GT 750M for pure gaming.

12 hrs a week is also considered as a gamer so you should go for Lenovo Y500 because i feel Sony gave GT 740M to play blu ray movies on 1080p, not to play games.
