Used FX 6100 + Asus M5A88-M is a good buy ?

My friend's Friend is selling his FX 6100 and Asus M5A88-M for 9k..He used it for almost a Year..Is that a correct price for a used product or should i ask him to reduce somewhat ? (tell me how much i can ask)
Both products current market price is over 12k..I'm planning to get a Good GPU along with this so want to spend money on GPU rather to put on new processor and motherboard...

what about the motherboard ? will that motherboard support AM3 processors like Athlon ?

the mobo supports AM3+ cpus and FX 6100 is better than Ahlon II X3 ( both in agmes and encoding apps ) - see if you can get the deal for 8k
