1) What is your budget? (INR or USD)

20k to 25k...

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?

14 to 15 inch..

3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?

Dual boot, Windows 7 or 8, with Ubuntu or elementry os

Home use movies, music, surfing(lots of surfing),downloading, youtube, office work

5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for ?

i5 processor..
4gb RAM atleast
HDD more the better
very good battery life
very good built quality(tired of plastic, bad laptops)..
better screen resolution if it fits budgets..

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
nothing particular.

I would like to have an nice ,decent build quality laptop for daily use.
I am confused whether to go for a used business laptops or buy a new entry level laptop. I need it to take some beating and expect it to survive daily load for few years.
buying used laptop is risky but i dont know if normally people buy used laptop or not.

upgradability is also one of the most important feature i would prefer..
and not the least...atleast 900p screen solution( i know budget is the problem but still )...can survive with 768p extreme case.

I am more leaning towards elitebook 2560p or 8440p or 8450p..

any help is appreciated..

thank you

you won't get i5 in your budget, or even i3.

Get Lenovo G50 with quad core AMD A8 processor.

I would say avoid used laptops or else you would be cursing yourself to buy it. I have seen many bought the used laptop and never got satisfied of it.
