USB Hub under 1k

I am out of USB ports on my motherboard (MSI 890GXM G65)
Please suggest USB hub having atleast 4 ports (USB 3.0 preferred)

buy belkin , they r of better quality, as ur budget is 1k buy powered usb hub u will get an power adapter with the usb hub, u can get 'belkin 4port powered usb hub' frm infibeam.com , sedna makes usb 3.0 hub but price is more than 1k

of course u should get usb hub with power adapter, if u connect mouse or keyboard or bluetooh dongle the is no need for the power adapter but if u connect usb modem or external hdd or external optical drive u will obviously need the power adapter, coz single usb from desktop or laptop simply can't provide so much power

Why not buy a USB3 PCI-e Card?? it comes in two port and 4 port versions.

USB3 versions costs 1.5K+ where as USB versions is just about 300.

will save you from all the wires and stuff..

check Ebay.in

Targus 4 Port USB 2.0 ~ 480 & 530 (Other variant)


Disadvantage of using PCI cards : Take power from motherboard, unnecessary load on mobo....Correct me if I am wrong ?

^^ if motherboards can take a 75 watt GFX card.. then it can take a simple USB expansion card too :) .

Hey, decide on which Tuner card you will be going for, as you have one PCI and one PCI-E slots left
