Please share your experience about window vista ReadyBoost system i.e using USB drive as RAM.I did not notice any perceptible change in system speed after putting USB pen drive four times the memory of my RAM.I used corsair 4GB pendrive along with 1 GB RAM alrady on the system. No significant performance improvement was noticed. What may be the reason? Please enlighten me.Or anybody having similar experience!

there is one thing. your pen drive should be vistready boost ready.
i am thinking that it is.

there will not be a huge difference in your performance. and you will risk the life of your pen drive too.

Your pendrive shoul be speedy enough to make use of this.
You won't get any boost on cheap drives like Transcend V30.

I personally haven't tried this,as i do not use vista.

OFFTOPIC: i hav a Transcend jf V30 2 gb
And on Pack it says its Vista ready boost capable though i havent tried
and ya its Slow

readyboost may boost the PC, but it kills the PenDrive fast.
You could do this in linux for ages, by formatting a pendrive as SWAP and making your Distro use it.
